DESARROLLO COGNITIVO Y PSICO-SOCIAL

 Miremos ahora este interesante cuadro que nos muestra el desarrollo  fisico, social, intelectual, emocional y en el area  del lenguaje  de  los niños entre 6 y 9 años, que es el rango de edad de los niños a quienes atendemos en nuestras  clases de Basica Primaria.

Control of muscular
movement



-Muscles are stronger
  and more resistant.
-Control of body is greater.


-Activities should be varied and
 Should develop large motor movements
 (running, jumping, etc.) and hand-eye
coordination ( cutting out, modeling, etc)
-Teacher should remember that physical
 changes can generate insecurity.




Emotions

-Begins to cooperate with
 Others.
-Has greater control of emotional      ambivalence.
 

-Activities should be short, with lots of variety.
-Teacher should be warm, well balanced and     able to restore child’s equilibrium.
Should offer constant encouragement.



Intelligence

-Is more realistic and rational
-Becomes more objective.
- Opens up to the outside   word.

-Activities should be use toys that imitate
Real life (toy cars, toy food, etc.)
-Activities should widen their minds and
develop reasoning and logic, as well as creativity and imagination.



Language

Uses tenses correctly at age 6;
understands them from age 8-9.


Activities should develop oral and writing
Skills.



Sociability

-Initiates relationships with peers .
-alternates peeriods of silence and continuous talking.
-Can work very simply in a team.
-Needs the group for security and self-steem.


-Teacher should favor  group work to encourage sociability, sharing and concentration.
-Teacher should know that conflict with adults is normal with older age group.
